It's because he uses two variants. The one for EoE is for smites, but the one with purge is for the blind you get from the OB's
Anyway, jbwarrior! You just made it to the list of people that I like
I'll be trying this build, as soon as I can ^^

hmmmm ok that is a lot. well i must say that people who make these kind of builds shoud get a reward from us. Same for Witte Was and many more players who share their solo builds. A lot of us get rich because of these builds.
Well i will start from now and its just me doing it i am not saying you guys should do it, but jbwarrior next time i am online i will whisper you and give you 5k. because you gave me a reason for farming UW again.
See you soon jbwarrior

I wouldn't do that because:
* the monk has to stay far away (MS's scatters)
* Without purge, takes a very very long time to kill the OB's
* 9 MS's many hexed, monk will run out of energy...

unless reposte and deadly reposte are necessary for survival, i would suggest using axe warrior. there was a thread a while back for a warrior uw build.
we tested reposte/deadly reposte/ other sword skills
vs
axe - dismember, cleave, penetrating blow
axe won by a long shot to the the consistency of the attacks. the repostes are random so u could waste ALOT of time attacking the smites.
i havn't tried this yet, but just a thought. i can't find the post where we debated over the reposte vs axe. i was a fan of reposte until i tried the axe.

I find that it's ALOT faster if you drop the tactics and go 16 in sword. I used: flail
magehunter strike
standing slash
sun and moon slash
final thrust
dolyak
mystic regen
mystic vigor.
You hit 60-80 with the 3 attack skills (which are almost constantly spammable) and about 130 with final thrust...alot faster than ripostes + the occasional desperation/drunken blow imo.
With mystic vigor you can keep attacking without the need of healing which also speeds things up. Ripostes from aatxes can be annoying, but if you're playing concentrated you don't have to wasted you attack skills on them.
I play with 16 sword (like i said) and 15 strenght which makes dolyak +40 constant, so aatxes dont hit for more than 10 on me. (-2/-2 and +10 in stance armor) The occasional riposte is the only dmg, which is outhealed by vigor+regen fast.
Give tahlkora succor and strenght of honor, you do even more dmg (+8) and the higher hp isn't really needed. IF you ever run low on hp, just stop attacking (so ripostes/soj/clumsineess wont be triggered). terror's meteor shower (only 21 dmg) and SOJ is only doing 24 dmg anyway, and with +8 hp back from vigor only 16 which is easy for mystic regen to heal. Smites are dead in seconds.
Oh and just skip the behemoth's (possible but they don't drop ecto like jb said), and use an elemental sword if you are fighting aatxes+graspings.
Edit: like langdon says, weapons are faster than ripostes!

We tried it out with my mate, it works nice, but we failed, because an NPC was killed while we were heading for the smites lol. Btw it could be a bit faster, I'll try out Koning's variant.

Maybe you are wright that sword skills is faster then the ripostes, on running smites. But I have tried it with a hammer and with a axe. I do not like it, because the lots of ripostes the Aatxes use. Smites maybe it's better, I do not know... haven't tried.
If you want to go to chaos plains, you can not skip the OB's, on your way up. You have to fight agains 2 x 3 Charged Blackness's, your monk has to be close or your bonds will vanish. If you do not kill the OB's, your monk will be attacked and has major energy problems. Try it for yourself.... to NOT killing the OB's and run to chaos plains.
You don't need the extra damage from a enchantment of the monk, and the lion's comfort I have in the skill bar, is only needed (sometimes) when you are attacking 9 MS's. Most off the time Mystic Regen is enough.

I think that one in the chamber after teleportating back. There was a group standing near the npc, but they didnt move (2grasping, 1 DN), so we let them there. On the way to the "smiteworld" we got a message of an npc died ><.

Awsome job jb, can't wait to try this out. My only newb question is, how far is to far for a hero to be flagged? I see alot of /hero farming builds, but none of them give guidance on flagging.
